Translation & Publishing Co. (TSTTPC), set up in 1979, serves
as a foreign-oriented scientific and technological press with solid
force of translation and edition.
TSTTPC devotes itself to high quality publication
of academic books on science,engineering,agriculture, medicine,
as well as architecture, economical management, language reference,
self-help, health-care and popular science. For these twenty years,
it presents more than two thousand of categories of books, with
issue exceeding ten million and spreading over thirty provinces
and cities, Hong Kong, Macao of China, USA, Japan, Singapore and
other countries, winning prestige not only in China but also in
the world.
Taking advantage of peculiarities on translation and
edition of foreign works, TSTTPC has made great efforts to extend
the scope of business for copyright trade. In 1998, the press
set up International Rights Department to energetically initiate
copyright trade. In recent years, TSTTPC has successfully launched
a number of cooperation with many presses of USA, Britain, Japan,
Germany, Singapore, as well as Hong Kong, Taiwan of China, making
a success in publishing more than 400 excellent titles of co-publications
and enjoying high social reputation with satisfied economical
results. Some of the titles have won national and provincial prizes.
For example, 8 Minutes in the Morning has won 2002 National Bestseller
Book Award and Color Atlas of Differential Diagnosis in Exfoliative
and Aspiration Cytopatholog has won the First Prize of Northern
Ten Provinces Excellent Sci.-Tech. Book Award.
While importing quite a number of books with foreign
copyrights, TSTTPC has also exported many books to the different
parts of the world, playing an active role in promoting the scientific
and cultural exchange between China and the world. Nowadays, TSTTPC
has established steady and close contacts with many major foreign
publishers, e.g. Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Barnes and
Noble Publishing Inc. McGraw-Hill,Els- evier, etc. TSTTPC will
expand the copyright market in enterprising spirit and will, as
always, warmly welcome constant and friendly cooperation with
more publishers all over the world. |
